Bearings

Gearotic has also given users the opportunity to design and build their own bearings for projects. These are impossible to be milled out as a simple process, however it is very possible to 3D print them.

Bearings in Gearotic can only be used with 3D printers, therefore no “Output” function exist other than STL’s. Bearings were implemented to offer the ability to add specific yet hard to find bearings for their gear train.

Pictures above and to the right demonstrate the capabilities within Gearotic to design ball or roller bearings.  These come with ridge edges to encapsulate ball or rollers inside bearing and roll quite smoothly from our experience.
